Follow on Google News | General Motors Invests in Cerritos College Automotive ProgramToday General Motors, one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers, donated a vehicle to Cerritos College for its automotive training program.
“We are proud to support training programs that prepare the next generation of automotive technicians,” The Cadillac and the engines will be part of Cerritos College’s General Motors training. The GM Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP) program is a two-year automotive program designed to upgrade the technical competency and professionalism of the dealership technician. The curriculum is designed by General Motors and Cerritos College, and leads to an Associate Degree. The GM ASEP program prepares students for the workforce by providing classroom and hands-on instruction as well paid on-the-job training. "Cerritos College Automotive Program plays an important role in helping the auto industry fill a critical need: developing and retaining skilled automotive technicians,” The next GM program at Cerritos College starts October, 2014.
