Brittany Weiner wins hearing on behalf of former employee of Shawna Cordell Fitness,Inc

NEW YORK - May 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Attorney Brittany Weiner successfully represented an employee whose former employer attempted to have his unemployment benefits denied.  The employer, Shawna Cordell Fitness,Inc., claimed the employee was an independent contractor and not entitled to unemployment insurance benefits.

The Honorable Rebecca Davis issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after a hearing was conducted.  The decision sustained the initial determination by the Department of Labor that the employee was entitled to unemployment insurance benefits.
