Industry Visit to Amul Plant based at Anand, Gujarat on 25th April, 2014

AHMEDABAD, India - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Rai University on 25^th April, 2014, organized an industry visit to Amul Plant based at Anand in Gujarat. The visit was organized for the management students to provide them first hand information about how the industry works. At Rai University, the focus is not only given on imparting theoretical knowledge but the practical one in order to help them understand the basic management skills that are required to run an organization. Hence, the industry visit was organized by the Corporate Resource Cell Team on 25th April for MBA students to help them understand the production and operation procedures used in the Amul Plant.

Amul was formed in the year 1946 and today it goes without saying that Amul is one of the leading food/dairy brands in India. During the visit, students got to see the making of various processes like Milk powder, Milk and Butter preparation, etc. and also explored the Dairy Museum, located in the close vicinity.  It was great to know that Amul initiated the dairy co-operative movement in India and formed an apex co-operative organization called Gujarat co-operative Milk Marketing Federation. The entire experience of visiting and exploring the plant was an all total different experience for the students as they gained lots of knowledge regarding the actual functionality of an production plant in food and beverage industry.
