Heartwrites is the brainchild of Cara Wilson Granat, a wedding Officiant/storyteller/author, and Sarah Piehl. event producer and publisher.  The two longtime friends put their heads together to create a revolutionary wedding trend: The creation of Heartwrites and The Love Story!

While the Love Story concept arose out of a personal officiating style, Heartwrites.com arose out of a decision to reach more people, more officiants, and more wedding planners, who wanted something truly unique for themselves and their clients. Cara had always used a script for the service, but the team wanted to leave something just as beautiful as the story itself for the new couple to share. So there was only one thing missing – a framework to hold the Love Story.  That’s how Heartwrites developed a tangible Love Story: An actual bound book with the Love Story and photos of the couple as the story unfolds.

Though initially developed to be read aloud at the ceremony, the team has expanded the Love Story to new heights—offering a variety of products for the couple to have more choices, particularly since some opt not to have it read during their service.  So there are now several options:  A 4”x6” 20-page story to be given as favors - on display with the table numbers, at the table or handed out in the reception line; as unique thank you’s; or the large size ((9.50”x7.50”) as a wedding party gift or for those who want to give the perfect wedding gift, and especially for parents and grandparents looking for the greatest way to bestow the wedded couple with something amazingly distinct.

Combined with magnificent art created by award winning artist, Jeremy Jones, all of the Love Stories are customized.  Based on separate, private interviews of the soon-to-be wed couple, Heartwrites scribe weaves their feelings into a beautiful Love Story. The delight is that the couple and entire wedding attendees all hear it read aloud at the wedding service itself, sometimes even for the couple for the very first time.
