Baker Golf Course. The “Fall Into Wellness” event on October 9, 2014 is open to employees of local companies as well as the general public. The fair, co-hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and the Edinger Medical Group, will feature information and demonstrations on medical and dental providers, fitness, health and medical awareness, chiropractic screenings, massage and much more. “Our goal is to provide local businesses the opportunity to send their employees to a free event that they might not otherwise have access to. We firmly believe that healthy employees are more productive for their companies and the community at-large,” said Mary Parsons, President/CEO of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Awareness Week kicks off on Monday, October 6, with an Open House at City Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Open House will give residents an opportunity to learn about City departments, and will also launch a city-wide Scavenger Hunt that residents of Fountain Valley can join in all week and be eligible to win prizes at the end of the week. Participants will receive a Scavenger Hunt Passport that they will use throughout the week as they visit businesses taking part in the event. The week will conclude with a Grand Finale and BBQ Extravaganza at Fountain Bowl on Friday, October 10. Prizes from the Scavenger Hunt will be presented at the Grand Finale. “We are looking forward to having the businesses, residents and health care providers together at the Fall Into Wellness event for the benefit of our community,” said Parsons.
