OYF Announces Home Schedule For Remainder Of 2014 Season

8 Bandits Gold playoff run begins in Week 7; Week 8 includes 4th Grade Day at Ski Slide Park and an evening doubleheader at Rux Stadium for 8 Bandits Gold and 8 Bandits Purple.

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - Oct. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Oconomowoc Youth Football has completed scheduling their remaining home games for the 2014 season.   While the schedule is set for week 7, the opponents for Week 8 will not be detrmined until after the first weekend of the AAYFL playoffs which commences this Saturday.

Week 7:  October 18

6 Bandits White will host Saukville and all Bandits Gold teams will host the Mukwonago Braves Blue teams.  While the Bandits have already had several matchups with the Braves this year, this matchup is set up due to a division championship playoff game between 8 Bandits Gold (5-1, 4-1) and Mukwonago Braves Blue (6-0, 5-0) at 4:30pm at Rux Stadium.  The winner of this game wins the AAYFL Southwest Division and plays the Southeast Division champion in the AAYFL South Conference championship game in Week 8 with the winner to earn a berth in the Jim Jarecki Memorial AAYFL Championship on Saturday November 2.   The scheduling rotation for post-season favors the Bandits this year as they would host all playoff games, including the AAYFL Championship game at Rux Stadium.

The week 7 home schedule is as follows:

9:30am   Saukville at 6 Bandits White (Ski Slide Park)
11:00am Mukwonago Blue at 5 Bandits Gold (Ski Slide Park)
12:30pm  Mukwonago Blue at 6 Bandits Gold (Ski Slide Park)

3:00pm  Mukwonago Blue at 7 Bandits Gold (Rux Stadium – OHS)
4:30pm  Mukwonago Blue (6-0) at 8 Bandits Gold  (5-1) (Rux Stadium – OHS)*

*AAYFL Southwest Division Championship game

All Bandits Purple teams will be on the road in week 7 with three of the four grades traveling to Wauwatosa East while 7 Bandits Purple visits the St. Francis Bulldogs who were defeated earlier this season by 7 Bandits Gold at Ski Slide Park.

9:00am 5 Purple at Wauwatosa East
10:30 am 6 Purple at Wauwatosa East
12:00 pm 7 Purple at St. Francis
6:00pm 8 Purple at Wauwatosa East

Week 8:  October 25

Week 8 will feature all 6th – 8th Bandits Purple and Gold teams playing at home as part of a six game season finale on October 25.  This includes a quadruple header at Ski Slide Park for 6th and 7th grade Gold and Purple teams and is concluded with all 8 Bandits Gold and 8 Bandits Purple players finishing their OYF career in a back-to-back evening doubleheader at Rux Stadium at Oconomowoc High School.

None of the opponents for week 8 have been named as it will depend on the outcome of the playoff games in week 7.   However, kickoff times and venue for each team are as follows:

9:30am – 6 Bandits Gold vs. TBD (Ski Slide Park)
11:00am – 7 Bandits Gold vs. TBD (Ski Slide Park)

6 Bandits White, 5 Bandits Gold, and 5 Bandits Purple will each play their final 2014 game on the road at a destination yet to be determined.

Week 8 will also be 4th Grade Day at Ski Slide Park.   Oconomowoc Youth Football is cordially inviting all fourth grade students and their families to attend these games as well as an information session conducted by the OYF Board of Directors.  This will provide families an opportunity to learn more about the program in advance of 2015 OYF registration in January.  There will be prizes and in-game promotions specifically for fourth grade students during the games at Ski Slide Park.
