Follow on Google News | ![]() Oconomowoc Youth Football Names 2016 5th Grade Head CoachesJason Schultz is new to both Oconomowoc and OYF, but not to youth sports. Relocating to Oconomowoc with his wife, daughter Amanda (13), and son Josh (10), from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Schultz is a certified Heads Up USA Football coach and has coached youth football, basketball, and baseball for over six years. He works in the health care industry, providing complex rehab equipment to individuals to regain their independence. Mr. Schultz will be the head coach of the 2016 5th grade Bandits Gold. Ben Schwandt has a history both with OYF as the 2015 USA Football Player Safety Coach and with the Oconomowoc Park and Recreation where he was a head coach in the city's flag football program. With two sons in the program (Brodie, 7th grade, and Keegan, 5th grade, as well as 2024 Bandits recruit Micah (age 2) the Schwandts will have a long run in the Bandits program. Ben resides in a Oconomowoc with his children and wife Erika and is employed by 2015 OYF sponsor Premold as a tooling engineer. Mr. Schwandt will be the head coach of the 2016 5th grade Bandits Purple. "I could not be more excited about our 2016 class of 5th grade coaches" said Brian Wraalstad, OYF Player and Coach Development Officer. "Not only do we have two experienced coaches, but together they bring a blend of experience from OYF and from outside our organization. The selection of Jason and Ben also demonstrate our continued focus on the safety of the children in our program and our alignment with USA Football."
