L.A. Wolves FC Dominate in UPSL League Play with Offensive Fireworks Show

November 1, 2014 -- Torrance, CA -- The L.A. Wolves FC (http://www.lasoccernews.com/amateur/amateur2.php?article_id=12595) (4-0-1) (www.LAWolves.com) picked up another solid victory against division rival Del Rey City FC (3-0-2) on Saturday night scoring a lopsided 11-1 victory at Toyota Park in Torrance, Ca. L.A. Wolves Colombian Forward Luis Trujillo led the charge with a single game record of five goals to pace the Wolves.

The match cold not have started off better for the Wolves as Del Rey City SC was called for a penalty kick within the first 30 seconds of the match as L.A. Wolves Midfielder Jamie Duffy converted the penalty giving the Wolves the early 1-0 lead. Surprisingly, the lead would not hold as Del Rey battled into the Wolves box to tie up the match a low shot that beat Wolves Goalkeeper Lucas Nascimento but that would be all the scoring Del Rey would see for the night as the Wolves bunkered down and went on a three goal scoring spree led by Forwards Andre Turoldo and Luis Trujillo getting the Wolves into halftime with a 4-1 lead. Wolves Goalkeeper Nascimento had a steller night in the net keeping Del Rey in check and frustrated.

The second half proved to be a feeding fest for the Wolves as the team played on all cylinders with more goals coming from Wolves Russian Forward Damir  Baimagambetov (2), Midfielders Jonathan Caparelli(1), and Englishman Rhys Hoenes(1) and Chris Lopez (1) as the Wolves finally closed out the game with a final tally of 11 -1 sending home Del Rey City SC with a very tough night at the office.

Yan Skwara President/GM of the L.A. Wolves stated, “This was a solid performance from our squad as obviously the score indicates as we asked the boys to really push for ninety minutes regardless of where the score was and that’s exactly what they did. We signed two solid new players this past week in Midfielder Yuki Kenada who recently had a playing spell in Germany and Midfielder Jonathan Caparelli who was part of the Chivas U-23 squad, which helps gives our squad the depth that we have been seeking with the starting eleven and off the bench.”
