The documentary is to be shown to an invited audience of friends and supporters at the Gala Theatre, Durham on Thursday 19th February and, in addition to its sponsorship, Latimer Hinks will be giving away 10 pairs of tickets via a prize draw. Addicted to Sheep, which is being entered into several international film festivals, was produced by Magali Pettier, of Provenance Films, and Jan Cawood, of Tin Man Films. The postproduction phase was supported and funded through crowd funding, sponsorship and awards from the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership and the Heritage Lottery Fund with assistance from DigitalCity and Teesside University. Addicted to Sheep Producer Jan Cawood said: "We are delighted to have the backing of Latimer Hinks for our first ‘cinema preview’ as they were one of our first donors and have followed our progress every step of the way from final edit to cinema screen. It’s also particularly rewarding for us to know they value the integrity and quality of our work as independent film-makers. " Director/Producer Magali Pettier said:”As a farmer’s daughter myself, it was very important to me to represent tenant hill-farmers on the Raby Estate in a truthful and enlightening way. It’s great to feel we have achieved that by showing the joys as well as some of the issues facing hill farmers. The Latimer Hinks sponsorship will allow more people to see the film at the start of what we hope will be a long and successful journey”. Latimer Hinks through its agricultural department offers legal advice to farmers, landowners and landed estates on a range of areas, including succession planning, lease agreements and land use diversification. The firm through its Charity Ball Fund has also supported Teesdale-based charity Upper Teesdale Agriculture Support Services (UTASS) which first introduced Magali to the Hutchinson family. Anne Elliott, marketing partner and specialist in private client work and agriculture at Latimer Hinks Solicitors, said: "We work with a broad range of clients, including the farming community, so we are delighted to be supporting farming through the fantastic film that is Addicted to Sheep, and offering people the opportunity to attend the cinema preview. "I would like to wish everyone connected with Addicted to Sheep all the best. I had the privilege of seeing the film at a private viewing and was very impressed. The film shows very graphically the passion farmers and their families have for their way of life.” To enter the prize draw simply send an email to at@latimerhinks.co.uk with your name and contact details.
