BABC Houston AGM to explore the implications and risks of the current crude price environment

HOUSTON - March 16, 2015 - PRLog -- The British-American Business Council Houston will hold the first in its 2015 British American Business Speaker Series along side its Annual General Meeting at a luncheon on April 8, 2015 at The HESS Club.

Keynote speaker for the event will be Harold "Skip" York. Mr. York is the Vice President of Integrated Energy in Wood Mackenzie's Americas Research team. He has recently been seen on Bloomberg TV's Bottom Line discussing the current oil & gas climate..

Wood Mackenzie had been advising clients for several years there would be oil price weakening between 2014 and 2016. However, the extent of the correction has been more dramatic than expected. Mr. York will share Wood Mackenzie's integrated, bottom-up analysis as to why it happened and where we go from here.

The BABC will also present the proceeds of their 2014 Gala to the British American Foundation of Texas, a scholarship organization founded by members of the BABC in 2006. Since that time, just over $1 million has been raised for the program through BABC galas.
