Meadows School Seniors Selected as Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association-South’s Top 10

LAS VEGAS - April 24, 2015 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS (April 24, 2015) – The Meadows School (TMS) is proud to announce three upper school seniors, Nathan DeVera, Bailey Gosse and Delaney Gosse, have been selected for the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association-South’s (NIAA) 2015 Top 10 Student Athletes of the Year Award. The students will be honored at the Southern Nevada awards banquet on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at The Orleans Hotel & Casino.

All three seniors have participated in multiple sports during their upper school careers: Nathan DeVera in football and track and field; Bailey Gosse in basketball, cross country, and track and field; and Delaney Gosse in basketball, cheerleading, cross country, and track and field.

“We are proud of our Meadows School student-athlete winners who go above and beyond both on and off the field,” said Jeremy Gregersen, head of school at TMS. “These students are great examples of the hard work, dedication and service that we want our students to carry with them both in the classroom and in their daily community involvement.”

Started in 1996, the Top 10 Student-Athletes of the Year Award is given to student-athletes who exemplify total school and community involvement. Special consideration is given to those who participate in multiple sports, other school groups and student government activities, and community service projects while maintaining a high academic status within their school. Winners receive commemorative awards from the NIAA, a $500 scholarship, a souvenir portrait and dinner for seven guests at the awards banquet.
