Shutts & Bowen’s Stefan Rubin reappointed chair of key Florida Bar Business Law Section committee

ORLANDO, Fla. - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Stefan A. Rubin (http://www.shutts.com/attorneys-Stefan-Rubin.html), a partner in Florida law firm Shutts & Bowen’s (http://www.shutts.com) Corporate Practice Group, has been reappointed as chair of the Corporations, Securities and Financial Services Committee of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar (http://www.floridabar.org).

The committee has been responsible for all major revisions to Florida’s business entity laws for the past two decades.  This is Mr. Rubin’s third consecutive term as the committee’s chair, and his fourth term as chair overall.

Mr. Rubin concentrates his practice in general corporate representation, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financing.

As both a member and chair of the Bar committee, Mr. Rubin has been involved in numerous revisions to Florida’s corporate, LLC, partnership and not-for-profit corporation statutes. He also served as Chair of the Section’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee and Vice-Chair of its FICPA (Florida Institute of CPAs) Liaison Committee.

Also active in Central Florida’s business community, Mr. Rubin was recently elected president of ACG Orlando, the Orlando chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, the premier global association for professionals involved in driving middle-market corporate growth, mergers and acquisitions.
