Follow on Google News | Weld Camera yields reduced fatigue and increased productivityInvisual E. Inc. announces the continued effort of our welding camera product line as a means for improving welding automation and quality control.
By: Invisual E Inc. Apart from weld viewing, the welding camera has capabilities such as saving images and video. The weld camera can be integrated into our weld monitoring system. The weld monitoring tracks volts, amps and gas against a control recipe. The weld video is then used to confirm process anomalies. When the control setpoint is breached, video is recorded. The other area where the weld camera has its applicable use is in parallel with our seam tracking system. With the system, a scanner provides the automatic height control and the weld camera is used for the operator to provide the lateral control. A set of cross slides are connected to the weld camera and scanner for automatic height control. The weld camera has this following technical characteristic: •dynamic range > 130dB •brightness and exposure adjustment •no blooming effects or image artifacts in scene •Stand alone system with direct VGA connect, •Ethernet connect to network or PC for the digital version •Reticule overlay option As a setup tool a few examples include, viewing the weld torch for pre-start weld position and measuring wire stick out length. As a run time and training tool, examples include viewing the arc, puddle, degree of weld spatter and position. Post welding examples include go / no go conditions for weld inspection. For customers requiring quality assurance and traceability, the ICAM welding camera records images and video to disk.
