IntelliTec Steps Up to Assist the Homeless and Disadvantaged According to Cole, “We held our first Resource Fair in July as part of our work to help people from homelessness to self-sufficiency. At that two-day event, many local organizations served 284 people with a variety of services to help them into housing and employment, provide some basic health screenings and offer clothing appropriate for job interviews. During that weekend we were unable to fully meet the incredible need for haircuts, and we are glad that IntelliTec is able and willing to address this need now.” “It’s gratifying to know there are organizations out there such as IntelliTec College willing to reach out to their homeless brothers and sisters,” Cole adds. “It’s an opportunity for us to give back to the community,” explains Diane Ake, Cosmetology Program Supervisor at IntelliTec College in Grand Junction, “to be a part our community and help where we can.” Visit http://www.intelliteccollege.com/ Grand Valley Peace & Justice Serves the Common Good of All Grand Valley Peace & Justice was established in 1990 and provides an influential presence and promotes education, advocacy and networking among the disadvantaged and the homeless.
