Grand Junction Community to Meet with Local Companies & Hiring Managers at IntelliTec Career Day

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Jan. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Grand Junction, Colorado – Students, graduates, and the general public can expect to meet face-to-face with local employers during IntelliTec College’s Trade & Career Day on Tuesday, January 5^th from 2–5 p.m. at 772 Horizon Drive in Grand Junction. At least 12 employers will attend and anticipate hiring business office administrators, cosmetologists, medical assistants, automotive technicians, and HVAC/refrigeration technicians. Other industries skills and qualifications are also in demand. Campus tours are available upon request.

Leslie Barlow, Director of Education at IntelliTec College in Grand Junction advises, “Attendees can expect to network and talk about what they offer potential employers in a relaxed atmosphere. However, those attending should be prepared for a possible brief interview since employers are looking to hire!”

Career Fair Gives Job Seekers Unique Opportunity to Reveal Personality

While hiring officials seek out well-qualified individuals, their goal is to find the candidates who stand out among the ‘good’ candidates with great personalities. “Job seekers should bring a cover letter and a resume, but more importantly, come prepared to shake hands with employers and to show who they are,” emphasized Carey Marone, Career Services Advisor at IntelliTec College in Grand Junction.

IntelliTec’s Trade & Career day allows job seekers to gain confidence during a less structured meet and greet and to get excited about their chosen field as they talk with potential employers.
