Follow on Google News | ![]() Oconomowoc Youth Football Names 2016 Head Coaches6th - 8th grade coaches named; 5th grade coaches to be determined in Spring 2016.
The 2016 class also includes a former OYF coach returning as a head coach.. Chris Ireland, current OYF Vice-President and OYF coach from 2003-2012, will be the head coach for 7 Bandits Gold. In his current capacity as a board member, Ireland has led OYF's football presence in the community as the director of the Oconomowoc Park and Rec summer football camp and as a liasion and mentor to the Oconomowoc flag football program. "We conducted interviews with all current and prospective head coaches. Our board of directors unanimously approved our recommendations" There are three head coaches from 2015 who are not returning. Larry Williams and Tim Nelson both coached eighth grade teams and Tim Tower coached the 6 Bandits Purple team. "I wish to thank Tim Tower for his service and dedication to the youth in our program" Wraalstad said. "I also want to thank all those who interviewed for head coaching position. We had many qualified candidates and clearly we have families who care a great deal about youth football." The 2016 head coaches are: 8th Grade - Joe Busateri (Black); Sal Sorrentino (Gold); Tony Baker (Purple) 7th Grade - Chris Ireland (Gold); Jesse Pilachowski (Purple) 6th Grade - Eric Hamme (Gold); Dave Wall (Purple) OYF will name its 2016 head coaches for fifth grade in Spring 2016. Oconomowoc Youth Football registration opens January 18, 2016. All registration is completed online at http://www.oconomowocyouthfootball.org/ The Bandits begin their 2016 season with equipment handout on August 7 . All teams open their 2016 season on Saturday September 11. End
