Zampell Continues its Overseas Development and Opens Zampell, Ltd. in the UK

STOKE-ON-TRENT, U.K. - March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- - ZAMPELL COMPANIES - Zampell in Europe is starting out 2016 with a bang.  Zampell got underway with the installation of a refractory lining at a new energy from waste unit in Denmark and also opened a new service operation in the UK.

The new energy from waste plant is part of an expansion of an existing plant in Hørsholm, Denmark.  The boiler will process 167,500 tons per year, and convert nearly 100% of the energy into steam for district heating and electricity for the surrounding area.  Zampell is providing the refractory engineering, materials and installation for this project through its Danish technical staff.

Jim Zampell commented on this new project, "We are very excited to be doing this project in Denmark.  A big reason why we started looking at growing into Europe was to grow our energy from waste business since it's a core capability of Zampell.  It's a great opportunity for our staff as well to tackle a job like this and proudly put their name on something that will service the local area for years to come."

In addition to this, Zampell also decided to open up a new engineering, construction, and service operation in the UK.  With the downturn of the UK steel industry and the unfortunate closing of the Teesside Steelworks, many skilled craftspeople found themselves out of a job and looking to repurpose their skills for the future.  Zampell found opportunity in this situation and decided to bring on certain key refractory staff and begin building a new service arm to promote its tiles and technical approaches in the UK.  Given Zampell's long experience with a variety of technologies in the USA and Denmark operations, it is already off and running in promoting its energy from waste tiles and capabilities.
