AABCP 2016 Mastectomy & Breast Care Summit & Expo Announced

HOUSTON - March 24, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Association of Breast Care Professionals has announced the Inaugural Summit & Exhibition from the national association for post mastectomy and breast care professionals.

There are over 5000 independent boutiques and mastectomy fitters either certified or in the process of learning in the United States? Add to that the number of cancer clinics, prosthetic companies, pharmacies, women's boutique and national stores and it is clear that the mastectomy profession is growing.

Post mastectomy services are defined as those products and services necessary have breast cancer surgery and include fitting of breast prostheses, garments, lymphedema garmets, exercises and breast health navigation.

Post Mastectomy professionals are specially trained and nationally certified individuals. They measure and fit external breast prothetics restoring physiological symmetry to women and men after a mastectomy; usually as a result of breast cancer treatment.

ADDED EVENT for BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS

The American Association of Breast Care Professionals in partnership with non-profit organizations at the 2016 AABCP Mastectomy Summit & Expo will be opening up the Exhibition Hall to Breast Cancer Survivors on Friday morning, July 8th.


Raising awareness about the mastectomy fitter profession and fostering a greater understanding of the products that are available to breast cancer survivors post mastectomy.

Who is AABCP?
Founded in 2005, the American Association of Breast Care Professionals and its sister organization, the International Society of Breast Care Professioals, is an association of breast cancer and care professionals that works to benefit of all aspects of the post mastectomy care.

The definition and delivery of healthcare, specifically post mastectomy care is evolving and that with change, opportunity is born.
