The Florida CANE Distillery Proudly Showcases New Facility with Ribbon Cutting CeremonyTampa's First Craft Distillery Relocates to new Ybor Location. Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Ceremony with Mayor Bob Buckhorn to be held Friday, May 13th, 2016.
By: The Florida CANE Distillery The four-year-old company relocated from an industrial park in East Hillsborough to take advantage of the City of Tampa's updated zoning requirements for distilleries. "This new location lets us showcase our manufacturing process with a behind the scenes tour not previously offered in our last Location," said co-founder Pat O'Brien. "We now offer a much more interactive experience for our visitors. This summer we will be offering distilling classes, giving people the chance to make their own whiskey, vodka, and rum." The Ybor location is twice the size of their previous location and includes space for a barrel room to start aging their spirits. The craft distillery makes small batch Vodka, Flavored Vodka, Flavored Moonshine, and Gin but plans on releasing many different spirit types from the new location. The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening event is open to the public and will include brief remarks from Mayor Buckhorn. It will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM and sample cocktails and spirits will be served.
