15 locks (and 9 miles) connect the picturesque village of Ardrishaig to the hub of activity at Crinan, and this 200 year old canal has scenery and facilities to rival anywhere in Scotland.

And now bringing your boat through the canal couldn't be easier. Whether you are sailing single handed, or simply want an extra pair of hands, The Yot Spot in Ardrishaig is now offering transit assistance to help you all the way through.

At a price of £60 per boat (and with a discount if you would like to buddy up with other vessels) a member of Yot Spot staff will assist you as you cruise through this beautiful lanscape, even if you would like to split your trip over a few days and make the most of the 4 day allowance you get with your canal fee.

The service is new this season, and has proven very popular already.
