Two Different Catastrophic Floods Described clearly within the Holy Bible

The differences in a nutshell?: A flood described both in the book of Psalms (stating God brought the flood-covering purposefully) and Genesis 1:2, describe a flood covering the earth being removed immediately, while Noah's day flood abated slowly, over as much as a year's period of time.
