Prelude2Cinema Inc Launches Ferris Campaign to Promote New Film

CLEVELAND - Aug. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Emmy-winning screenwriter and director Alex P. Michaels envisions a near-future version of Cleveland in his noir crime thriller series De la Oscuridad. The first installment Que, Sera, Sera introduces the fictionalized city, Cleaveland, its corruption and the special federal task force that can suspend the rights of citizens in order to keep a semblance of peace.

In the movie, a senator named Nicholas J. Ferris operates a safe house for women and girls that were rescued from a sex slavery ring entrenched in the city's criminal underground while a mysterious vigilante takes down the men in charge.

"The film highlights the real social and economic issues that face our city and our country right now," Michaels says. "It shows a dark and possible future in which a new law, the Federal Officers Resisting Criminal Elements (F.O.R.C.E.) Act, allows the federal government to act as judge, jury and executioner on the city streets, but had originally been meant to keep the police in check, and also talks about the real threat of human trafficking and the effect it has on survivors and the city."

Que, Sera, Sera is a SAG production and will feature celebrity actors who have Northeast Ohio roots, but Michaels focuses on hiring local production crews and actors as well. The real Cleveland will serve as the backdrop for the movie. Que, Sera, Sera will add an estimated $250,000 to the Cleveland economy with the addition of over 250 jobs throughout the 20 days slated for filming and includes production estimates of $10,000/day for local crew and talent.

"My goal is to keep our local talent working with this film series and other movies," says Michaels. "Cleveland has plenty to offer for filmmakers, and we can make this a hub of economic activity for film artists and actors, bringing more people here, keeping more people here, and cultivating a cinema industry in Northeast Ohio that supports and hires local talent and develops movies on a regular basis."

Promotion for the film includes a website for the fictional Senator Ferris (http://www.makeferrisrun.com) and a corresponding Twitter account (@makeferrisrun) in which the character and his campaign team will promote his run for the Presidency in 2020. The Ferris Campaign will discuss real-world issues while providing an inside look at the alternate universe developed for the film series. An Indiegogo campaign "Election 2020 — Bringing Jobs to Cleveland, Ohio" will help to crowdsource funding to cover some of the production costs.

"The candidate may be fictional, but he will be bringing real jobs to Cleveland," says Michaels.
