"Central to the film's story is a police shooting by her character, and I know that Cohen will bring a lot to the part of Chief Turner," says Michaels. "I'll be reprising my role from the original series, and we will have a few scenes together. Both of our characters are members of the law, but we have our own rules about how things should be done. People will be surprised at some elements within this story. It shows that there really are no easy answers when it comes to solving the problems in our own society." In the movie, Michaels has envisioned a dark, possible near-future in which the police have been overtaken by a militarized federal task force under President Joseph Franks, a reality-star- Chief Lena Turner is determined to uncover the dirt on the Senator before his campaign gains traction, but she has her own demons to deal with as well. Her choices become one of the forces driving the film. "How might we take on rooting out political corruption? How do we change peoples' minds to create better legislation? Promotion for the film includes a website for the fictional Senator Ferris (makeferrisrun.com ) and a corresponding Twitter account (@makeferrisrun) The real Cleveland will serve as the backdrop for the movie. "Que, Sera, Sera" is the title of the first 90-minute movie series de la Oscuridad and refers to the phrase "What will be, will be..." in Spanish. It also connects to Michaels' first series "Out of Darkness." The movie will add an estimated $250,000 to the Cleveland economy with the addition of over 250 jobs throughout the 20-30 days slated for filming and includes production estimates of $10,000/day for local crew and talent. Cohen has made appearances in popular TV shows, including Cristela, N.C.I.S., The Mentalist, The Closer, Angel, The Strand and more. In addition to her film roles in The Life Aquatic and Road Hard, Cohen has had parts in James Franco's films Good Time Max, Fool's Gold, Bukowski and The Institute. She teaches acting courses at James Franco's Acting and Film School Studio4 in Los Angeles and performs on stage at several theatre venues, including the Great Lakes Theater production of "Dial 'M' For Murder."
