Prelude2cinema Launches The Cinema Crusade From Shaker Launchhouse

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio - Feb. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Prelude2Cinema launches a membership program called the Cinema Crusade, which members can join for an annual fee of $30 and includes exclusive access to Crusade events and discounts on merchandise.

Founded by Emmy-winning writer and award-winning director Alex P. Michaels, Prelude2Cinema headquarters is located in Shaker LaunchHouse, 3558 Lee Rd. Shaker Heights, Ohio 44120, and promotes the cinema industry in Northeast Ohio through film festivals, fundraisers, film production projects and talent networking.

“We built part of Prelude2Cinema’s business model on LaunchHouse and its support of other businesses,” says Michaels, CEO and studio chief. “Most people think movies are just about actors and directors, but one needs to involve other businesses if they want to sustain production.”

For only $30 a year, Crusade members receive a 15 percent discount on Prelude2Cinema events, movies and merchandise and free access to special online and real-world events. The Crusader’s Court is where members can interact and network with each other. Members also receive access to First Look production diaries for a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the film industry. Crusade members will also be helping to build the cinema industry in Northeast Ohio through their contributions.

Prelude2Cinema plans to use modern technology to create a system based on the Hollywood Studio System, in which the studio developed stories and artists, produced and marketed the movies and screened them to audiences.

“Our goal is to build an industry here and we are moving ahead, but need the support of the community in Northeast Ohio,” Michaels says. “In order to sustain an industry here, we have to constantly shoot movies and that involves having a pool of funding to use for productions. We are not just waiting for Hollywood to save us. We have to save ourselves.”
