By: WRS Resistance Sliding "Just wanted to share with you, an amazing letter of compliment that was sent directly to Coca–Cola about the ParkLives staff and the activities we are providing this year. It really does sum up what you have achieved so far this summer in regards to your passion, enjoyment and excellence that you have all brought to the programme. The letter has also been sent to other members of the Coca-Cola team as well as London Borough of Newham and activeNewham's director and leadership team. They have all come back and ask me to pass on their congratulations and how pleased they are with how the programme is running and how it has been received. We are into the final two weeks, so we need to keep up the excellent work as I know you all will. We are extremely lucky to have you all on board and I certainly couldn't have put this programme together without you all. You should all feel very proud!" The Young Mayor's Summer Festival was held at the Timberlodge Café, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford on Saturday 27th August. Organised by the The Young Mayor and Youth Council, there was plenty going on from street dance to music and WRS Resistance Sliding also went down a storm. On bank holiday Monday 29th August WRS was invited by The Liberty Romford to set up stall at the Havering Show so as to extend the Liberty Charity campaign out to a wider audience. And the takers to the challenge were on a constant roll! There was the Mitchell Huth Fund, Saint Francis Hospice, Hornchurch Sea Cadets and Bedrock Hospital Radio to name just a few of the enthusiastic contenders! The challenge continued all through the last week of August at The Liberty in Romford and the winner of the £500 charity prize money is about to be announced. Anyone reading this thinking they could do with WRS at their event need only get in touch and the team will talk through how it all works. Weininger Irwin, WRS founder, sports and fitness coach, sports club manager and the UK's first ever ITV Gladiator's champion says, "Don't forget, you don't just get the kit, you get the team too, and we're a dab hand at making sliding work for EVERYONE, regardless of age or physical ability. Not everyone can swim, but ANYONE can slide!" Visit http://www.resistancesliding.com/#! End
