CARRHURE successfully filled the Senior Specialist, HSIS position for Gavi

PARIS - Sept. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Gavi the Vaccine Alliance appointed Dr. Katja Schemionekas Senior Specialist, Health Systems, and Immunization Strengthening.

Carrhure was retained by Gavi last February and after months of search, Dr. Schemionek was chosen after screening more than 200 candidates.

Despite the challenges that Carrhure faced during the search, the team under the supervision of its Managing Director, Ms. Auree de Carbon, was able to champion all obstacles and fill the position with a highly qualified and passionate candidate.

Katja is an international public health expert with over 25 years of extensive working experience in health systems strengthening, providing technical assistance and policy guidance to national health authorities, particularly in fragile states. Her expertise includes preparing and coordinating emergency response in post-conflict and complex emergency situations including disease surveillance, design, and management of large donor-funded projects and programs. These are some of her strengths that helped her win the Senior Specialist, HSIS role.
