Youth Around the World Discuss Unity and Division in KidSpirit's Fall Issue

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Sept. 15, 2017 - PRLog -- KidSpirit (http://kidspiritonline.com), the award-winning online magazine by and for youth to explore life's big questions, launches its fall issue. This season, KidSpirit's global community of young writers, artists, poets, and editors take on unity and division. The issue features thought-provoking original articles and creative work on the bridges and barriers that crisscross our countries, communities, and inner selves.

Each issue of KidSpirit revolves around a Big Question posed by the Editorial Board. This fall, the editors ask, "Are the lines that divide us real or imagined?" In her response, one young writer offers a profound exploration of human relationships.

Other articles include a fascinating look at the Confucian concept of Great Unity; a reflection on the devastating effects of international division; an inspiring account of how kids can speak up for positive change; a review of a graphic novel about the US Civil Rights Movement; and a lyrical poem about the power of words to bring us together.

Throughout the fall, KidSpirit will continue to publish writing, poetry, and artwork by youth on this rich theme. One article will feature short essays by youth across the world about how their generation can be a force for unity; another will reflect on a teenager's personal transformation during three weeks at an international camp; and a third will explain what shared experiences and beliefs define a writer's faith community.

Each issue of KidSpirit features wisdom from an adult respected for their understanding of the theme in a column called PerSpectives. In October, civil rights leader and community organizer Benjamin Jealous will offer his thoughts on many ways unity and division affect our lives and societies.

KidSpirit is a unique forum for young people to explore life's big questions in an open spirit. This issue highlights the value of youth voices around the world. For interviews and further information, please contact Jessie Post at the information below.
