Uber Data Security Breach Class Action Investigation

TULSA, Okla. - Nov. 21, 2017 - PRLog -- Abington Cole + Ellery is currently conducting a class action investigation regarding a confirmed data breach at international transportation-tech company Uber. Uber's CEO has confirmed that the breach affects 57 million Uber riders and 600,000 Uber drivers.

Breached information includes, but is not necessarily limited to: names, email addresses, mobile phone numbers, and drivers license numbers.

Uber is individually notifying the drivers whose driver's license numbers were downloaded and providing these drivers with free credit monitoring and identity theft protection.

Uber's statement indicates that it is notifying regulatory authorities and that while Uber has not seen evidence of fraud or misuse tied to the incident, Uber is monitoring the affected accounts and has flagged them for additional fraud protection.
