By: CARRHURE Last November 22, 2017, Carrhure was retained by GGGI to search for highly qualified, passionate and suitable candidates who are experts in the fields of international development, public policy, environmental studies, economics, or other relevant green growth fields. Under the wing of CARRHURE's Managing Director, Ms. Auree de Carbon, the team was able to meet GGGI expectations and needs in 5 weeks. She officially assumed her duties as the new DDG on May 4, 2018, and is primarily responsible for managing GGGI's in-country relationships and overall delivery results. Ms. Hyo-eun Kim is a diplomat with experience spanning over 25 years. She is notable for her expertise in climate change and environment issues and her contribution to GGGI. Prior to this post, she had worked at GGGI for over two years as the Director of Strategy, Policy, and Communications, liaising with the Korean government, directing resource mobilization, and developing the GGGI Strategic Plan. Ms. Kim has also served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali and Cabo Verde since April 2016 to enhance bilateral relationships between Korea and the six countries in West Africa. Recently, she has managed a large program by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and maintained a cordial relationship with the GGGI Senegal team. GGGI's Director-General, Frank Rijsberman said that Ms. Kim's enthusiasm and commitment to building a resilient, prosperous and inclusive future for our planet will help the organization to scale up the success that GGGI delivers on the ground.
