Behind The Beat With AViVA one of Colorado's best house artists

DENVER - Sept. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- One of my favorite things about going to music festivals is when I have the opportunity to sit down and talk with artists about their music, their hobbies, and whatever else happens to be on their mind at the time. I had such an opportunity with local Denver artist AViVA at this past Global Dance Festival, and I wanted to share some of the highlights of our conversation with you guys.

AViVA is killing the Denver house music scene, and I loved talking to her about her recent releases as well as what she has coming up for the rest of the year. Her new single Trilogy just dropped today, which you can check out on Spotify, SoundCloud, and at the end of this article!

I asked her about her history with Global Dance Festival, which she had played in the past when it was still held at Red Rocks. "I'm a Denver native," she said. "So I play a lot of the Denver venues." In addition to her Global Dance Festival set, she had played Beta Nightclub in downtown Denver the night before. "It was crazy," she told me. "It was almost as sweaty as this festival."

We also got to talk about what it's like to be a woman in a male-dominated industry, which was something I'd been really looking forward to chatting with AViVA about. We talked about how she definitely faced certain challenges because of this, but that overcoming these challenges was something she enjoyed. "It's totally horrific, but I think I also have an edge in some ways," she said. "It's your music, it's your brand, it's who you are, and that's what really sets it off."
