Newegg Data Security Breach Class Action Investigation

 
Dec. 29, 2018 - PRLog -- Abington Cole + Ellery is currently conducting a class action investigation regarding a confirmed data security breach of Newegg.com. The incident may have affected certain customers' payment card numbers and other information entered on the Newegg website between August 13, 2018, and September 19, 2018.

A customer notice from Newegg states that an unauthorized user changed Newegg.com's checkout page to collect certain customer information without authorization.

The malicious code may have captured the following types of information entered by customers on the Newegg website: name, address, payment card number, expiration date, and card security code (CVV2).
