Reports on Russian trade in goods with Asian countries in Q3 2018

Russia's trade with Asian countries has demonstrated the positive dynamics in the 3rd quarter of 2018. Asia is viewed by Russia as very promising partner.
 
MOSCOW, Russian Federation - Jan. 12, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Asia in the third quarter of 2018.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: China, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Kazakhstan, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Armenia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, the Philippines, Jordan, Myanmar (Burma), Yemen, Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, North Korea, Qatar, South Ossetia, and Pakistan (42 reports in total).

A brief review of Russia's trade with Asian countries in the 3rd quarter of 2018

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 39.38% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 39.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2018.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total exports rose from 37.15% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 37.54% in the 3rd quarter of 2018.

The share of Asian countries in Russia's total imports rose from 42.52% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 44.11% in the 3rd quarter of 2018.

The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2018:
- The top ten Russia's trade partners in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were China (16.6842% of Russia's total foreign trade), South Korea (4.1300%), Turkey (3.5453%), Japan (3.4492%), Kazakhstan (2.5851%), India (1.3992%), Taiwan (1.0124%), Vietnam (0.9357%), Uzbekistan (0.6326%), and Singapore (0.6111%);
- The top ten Russia's export markets in Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were China (12.9614% of Russia's total exports), Turkey (4.7863%), South Korea (4.6259%), Turkey (4.5358%), Japan (3.3093%), Kazakhstan (2.8506%), India (1.4272%), Taiwan (1.0652%), Uzbekistan (0.7378%), Singapore (0.5983%), and Vietnam (0.4908%);
- The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were China (23.6600% of Russia's total imports), Japan (3.7113%), South Korea (3.2008%), Kazakhstan (2.0875%), Vietnam (1.7693%), Turkey (1.6892%), India (1.3468%), Taiwan (0.9135%), Thailand (0.7903%), and Indonesia (0.6981%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 3rd quarter of 2018 over the 3rd quarter of 2017:
- The share of China in Russia's total exports rose from 10.1764% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 12.9614% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Kazakhstan in Russia's total exports declined from 3.6122% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 2.8506% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of India in Russia's total exports declined from 2.0186% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 1.4272% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Iran in Russia's total exports declined 2.1-fold from 0.4559% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.2204% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia's total exports declined 2.0-fold from 0.3561% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.1768% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Bangladesh in Russia's total exports declined from 0.2887% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.1485% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of the Philippines in Russia's total exports rose 4.4-fold from 0.0380% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.1676% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Jordan in Russia's total exports rose 6.0-fold from 0.0354% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.2119% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Vietnam in Russia's total imports rose from 1.4496% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 1.7693% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Turkey in Russia's total imports rose from 1.3736% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 1.6892% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Singapore in Russia's total imports rose 2.2-fold from 0.2921% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.6351% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia's total imports rose 2.6-fold from 0.0498% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.1284% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018;
- The share of Jordan in Russia's total imports declined 5.6-fold from 0.0089% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.0016% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018.
