Fuse Literary Brings Karly Caserza On Board as Associate Agent

SAN FRANCISCO - Jan. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- Fuse Literary, the literary agency that focuses on technology, innovation, and expansion of storytelling into new media in addition to the nuts and bolts of traditional publishing, today announced the hiring of Karly Caserza as an Associate Agent at the firm.

Partner Laurie McLean recognized Karly's potential right away. "I met Karly at the San Francisco Writers Conference a few years ago and was immediately impressed by her professionalism, passion and knowledge of books, publishing, graphics, and editing."

A resident of California, Karly immigrated here from the Philippines and obtained her undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento for Business Marketing.

Professionally, Karly began her career in the publishing industry as a reader for Tricia Skinner at Fuse Literary. Her responsibilities quickly grew and she was promoted to Literary Assistant, a role that also included a spot on the production team of Short Fuse Publishing. She is also the Marketing Coordinator of the San Francisco Writers Conference.

Prior to agenting, Karly spent ten years as a freelance graphic designer, editor, and writer, and also a technical trainer of the Adobe Creative Suite. She is also currently editing her first manuscript.

As an agent, Karly is primarily seeking MG and YA genre fiction (Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Contemporary). She enjoys character-driven stories with a strong and unique voice. Karly seeks out stories she can get lost in. Diversity in genre fiction is a major bonus.
