The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia. In particular, the reports have been issued on Russia's trade with the following countries: Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Angola, South Africa, Tunisia, Kenya, Cote d'Ivoire, Sudan, Ghana, Djibouti, Nigeria, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Libya, Togo, and Ethiopia. A brief review of Russia's trade with African countries in the 1st quarter of 2019 The share of African countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 2.49% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 2.75% in the 1st quarter of 2019. The share of African countries in Russia's total exports rose from 3.08% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 3.41% in the 1st quarter of 2019. The share of African countries in Russia's total imports rose from 1.40% in the 1st quarter of 2018 to 1.45% in the 1st quarter of 2019. The major trading partners of Russia in Africa in the 1st quarter of 2019: - The top five Russia's trade partners in Africa in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Egypt (1.1860% of Russia's total foreign trade), Algeria (0.4613%), Morocco (0.2408%), South Africa (0.1290%), and Tunisia (0.0999%); - The top five Russia's export markets in Africa in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Egypt (1.6370% of Russia's total exports), Algeria (0.6930%), Morocco (0.1627%), Tunisia (0.1141%), and Togo (0.1129%); - The top five Russia's import suppliers from Africa in the 1st quarter of 2019 were Morocco (0.3945% of Russia's total imports), South Africa (0.3071%), Egypt (0.2985%), Cote d'Ivoire (0.0722%), and Tunisia (0.0721%). The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Africa in the 1st quarter of 2019 over the 1st quarter of 2018: - The share of Morocco in Russia's total exports declined from 0.3105% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.1627% in the 1st quarter of the 2019; - The share of Togo in Russia's total exports rose 37.6-fold from 0.0030% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.1129% in the 1st quarter of the 2019; - The share of Sudan in Russia's total imports declined 16.0-fold from 0.0016% in the 1st quarter of the 2018 to 0.0001% in the 1st quarter of the 2019.
