PRLog -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield newly named Bill Chetwynd Memorial Gala was held at the Danversport Yacht Club on Friday November 8, 2019. It was an emotional evening, listening to young woman after young woman express the struggles they faced within their own nuclear family and the help that they found within their extended family and community. The continued message on the need for support services the club gives to children to create a safe and secure environment, as well as give their parents a fortified community path forward for a healthy family was paramount to their individual and collective success. This is where our focus should be, the future of a healthy society. These girls' voices resonated loud and clear across the room. These are young teenagers who spoke about addiction, divorce, and parenting their siblings at the age of nine. Lack of resources would have kept these children from succeeding. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield provide a structured loving and supporting environment allowing them to flourish alongside their guardians and family. This is the promise of America and this is where our future past and present lie. This is what I will continue to advocate for as your next Congressional leader.
