ILIA's Annual 2020 Fundraising Dinner: Withering The Storm

BALTIMORE - Dec. 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Islamic Leadership Institute of America is proud to announce its annual fundraising dinner taking place on Sunday, December 20th: Withering the Storm.

"When we chose the words, 'Withering the Storm' we wanted to communicate to the community that alhamdulilah (all praise to god the almighty) our program helped us see less of the effects of covid," stated the founder and Chief of Academics, Ayman Nassar.

For over 12 years, Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA) has been working on building Muslim communities, transforming youth into leaders, and impacting over 3,000 lives from across the nation and around the globe. ILIA has supplied youth with a wide variety of programs such as Advocacy and Public Policy certification, Youth Project Management training, and EmpowerOne Coaching. Through experiential learning programs and their own self-identified projects, ILIA youth are making more than just meaningful impacts to society.

"I joined three years ago, almost four...it's been a really good ride," mentioned the president of the organization, Bahaa Harazz. "I really changed a lot during this time and I'm really proud of my development."

Alawi Masud, The director of Advocacy and Public Policy Leadership Certification added, "When you come to ILIA you are learning about mission, vision, doing projects and actually looking forward to making impacts: doing exciting things. That is very very rare regardless if you are Muslim or not and this is one of the only organizations that does this. So if you are interested in these types of things, come to the dinner."

Despite the fact that the dinner will be taking place on a virtual platform, "it's definitely going to be a fun experience. We are trying to make it as interactive as we possibly can. So make sure to join us from the best seat in the house, the comfort of your own home," said the head of outreach, Jannah Nassar.
