Follow on Google News | "Who Am I?" Ask Young Writers and Artists in KidSpirit's Summer IssueBy: KidSpirit Each issue of KidSpirit revolves around a Big Question posed by the all-youth Editorial Board. This season, the editors ask, "Can you ever truly know who you are?" In his response, a young editor gives a thought-provoking and unexpected answer. Other pieces released today include an article on how Generation Z forges identity in the digital realm, a contributor's personal essay on Ukrainian identity, another writer's reflection on flipping through photos from her childhood, a piece about the benefits of helping others, and a review of the animated film Luca. Throughout the season, KidSpirit will continue to publish writing, poetry, artwork, and video by youth on this rich theme. In Features, writers will examine how our personalities change over time and the lasting relevance of the coming-of-age genre. Awesome Moments pieces will delve into transformative experiences, while the Interfaith Connections department will feature perspectives of teens from different faith and wisdom traditions. The Helping Hands section will explore the life-changing significance of service, and, in Media, young authors will review more books and movies related to the issue's theme. Each issue of KidSpirit features additional wisdom from one adult with expertise in the theme in a column called PerSpectives. We are delighted that this issue's column will be written by don Miguel Ruiz, international best-selling author of The Four Agreements, and Barbara Emrys, his collaborator and co-writer. KidSpirit is a unique forum for young people of all backgrounds and traditions to explore life's big questions in an open spirit.
