'Harsens Island Revenge' Begins Pre-Production at Collective Development

LANSING, Mich. - Oct. 13, 2022 - PRLog -- This is the logline behind Michigan-based, Collective Development Inc.'s (CDI) next motion picture, HARSENS ISLAND REVENGE. A moody, and suspenseful action piece set during the roaring 20's prohibition. It was first written as a book by author, Karl Manke and adapted for the screen by screenwriter DJ Perry (Wild Faith, Man's Best Friend, Lost Heart).  A known lover of history, Perry often weaves powerful character interactions inside the framework of various time periods. As a production company, CDI has put several time periods on the screen thanks to the dedicated artists inside their ranks.

Harsens Island Revenge, will mark the second collaboration between author Karl Manke/Curwood Publishing and DJ Perry/Collective Development.  Previously DJ Perry, had adapted Karl Manke's book 'Hope from Heaven,' into the award-winning film, BEST YEARS GONE. The quirky, character-study is a dramedy about a washed-up race car driver seeking to find his balance and purpose in life. It can be watched on most major streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Tubi and more.

HARSENS ISLAND REVENGE, is a post WW1 prohibition tale, based on true events. The film has officially entered pre-production starting with location scouting throughout Michigan for a 2023 camera roll. Many of the well-known #TribeCDI faces along with some new ones, are all said to be participating in this amazing story. The film is expected to release late in 2024.
