BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - June 26, 2023 - PRLog -- Today, Veteran and Republican Congressional candidate in West Virginia's 2nd District, Joe Earley announced that he has signed the Term Limits Pledge just like Congressman Alex Mooney.

"Washington is broken. There are too many career politicians controlling all of the power. That's why this veteran has taken the term limits pledge. I want people to know that I am not running for a job, I have one.  I am running to put our country back on track and end the political gamesmanship that consumes DC," said Earley. "It is time Washington works for us, not against us."

Earley is the only candidate in the race who has signed the pledge and has committed to cosponsor House Joint Resolution 11 to pass term limits which will allow people to run for 3 terms in the House and 2 terms in the Senate.

"My opponent, Riley Moore, has not signed and will not sign. He has been endorsed by Speaker Kevin McCarthy who opposes term limits. Moore will not be respecting the wishes of district voters. He will be doing McCarthy's bidding," said Earley, who is the only candidate to publicly oppose the bad debt ceiling deal.

"Most people don't know how rigged the system is; 90 percent of all PAC money goes to incumbents.  As a result, less than 10 percent of all congressional elections are truly competitive. That's why we have elected officials such as Diane Feinstein still in office. Term limits give us more choice at the ballot box," said Earley.

"Our founding fathers never envisioned a class of career politicians. They wanted a citizen legislature. By implementing Congressional term limits, we will be restoring their vision for our nation," said Earley.

"As the next Congressman, I will make it my goal to end the stranglehold of career politicians. I will only be obligated to the people of the district – not the insiders," said Earley.
