Earley: Defund Special Counsel Jack Smith

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Aug. 8, 2023 - PRLog -- Today, Veteran and Republican Congressional Candidate in West Virginia's 2^nd District, Joe Earley called for a defunding the office of Special Counsel Jack Smith.

"I am strong believer in the rule of law, but Smith is not enforcing the law.  He is abusing his power to curtail free speech for those on the right and associated with President Trump.  The United States is not a third world country where we punish people for dissent," said Earley.

"Was Hillary Clinton indicted for saying the election was stolen?  No, she was allowed her freedom of speech.  Stacey Abrams claimed that her election was stolen?  She was not indicted.  Al Gore claimed his election was stolen, but never charged.  None of these Democrats were ever prosecuted, because in the United States of America we have the freedom of speech unless you are Donald Trump," said Earley.

"These recent Smith indictments threaten our fundamental rights.  Smith is using his office to try to win Biden a second term in office.  Using government resources for a campaign is against the law.  It is time to defund the Special Counsel and stop weaponizing the federal government against the people," said Earley.
