Earley Calls Hunter Biden Special Counsel Selection A Bad Joke

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Aug. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- Today US Army Veteran and Republican Congressional candidate in West Virginia's 2^nd District, Joe Earley expressed deep outrage at Attorney General Merrick Garland's appointment of U.S. Attorney David Weiss as the special counsel for the Hunter Biden scandal.

"Weiss was the so-called prosecutor who gave Hunter Biden such a sweetheart deal that the Judge threw it out.  Now we are supposed to believe that Weiss is going to seriously investigate Hunter's foreign dealings and how the money was funneled to the Biden family.  This is a bad joke on the American people," said Earley.  "No one is above the law, but in this case, Garland just gave a 'Get out of Jail Free Card' to the Bidens."

Weiss is the federal prosecutor who investigated Hunter Biden's business dealings that lead to a deal where he avoided jail time for not paying his taxes and breaking federal gun laws.

"It is time for the Justice Department to restore their credibility by following the evidence. Moreover, Garland needs to appoint a different special counsel who will not be influenced by the White House," said Earley.
