![]() Earley Challenges Moore to Sign Term LimitsEarley is the only WV-02 candidate in the race who has signed the pledge and has committed to cosponsor House Joint Resolution 11.
By: Campaign to Elect Joe Earley "Does Mr. Moore believe in a citizens legislative body or does he want Congress to be a nursing home? We have all seen the results of unlimited time in Congress with Mitch McConnell freezing and Dianne Feinstein having no clue on what she is voting on. It is time to end the stranglehold of career politicians. That's why I proudly signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge. Today I am challenging Riley Moore to sign the pledge," said Earley. This week the House is expected to hold a hearing on House Joint Resolution 11 filed by Congressman Ralph Norman. When passed it would hold members to 3 terms in the House and two terms in the Senate. There are over 100 sponsors of the bill with support from both sides of the aisle. Congressman Alex Mooney is a pledge signer. If Moore was to get elected, West Virginia could lose a valuable supporter of term limits in Congress. "Right now 90 percent of all PAC and lobbyist money goes to incumbents. Hence, it is nearly impossible to defeat incumbents making them loyal to their donors not the people they represent. Term limits will open up the system. This is a critical issue. Does Riley Moore think that politicians should be accountable to the people or the lobbyists?" questioned Earley. joeearley4wv.com Media Contact Holly Robichaud hollyrobichaud@ 781.424.2631 Photo: https://www.prlog.org/ End
