Welcome to HoCo Islamic Fundraising Event!

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. - Nov. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA) is delighted to announce its Annual HoCo Islamic Fundraising Event. This event celebrates the ongoing partnership between ILIA and the Howard County Government, Muslim Family Center, Dar Al-Taqwa, Maryum Islamic Center, Howard County Executive Office, and Howard County Housing.

Over the past few years, this collaboration has led to remarkable progress, impacting more than 2000+ individuals, including more than 1,000 dedicated students. The extensive range of youth development programs includes "Halal Yeah," promoting a halal lifestyle and community bonding, "EmpoweReer," equipping young adults with skills for future success, "MYD (Muslim Youth Development)," nurturing personal and professional growth, impactful "Food Drives" addressing community needs, and "Work Personality Assessment," helping individuals understand their strengths and areas for improvement.

This partnership has enabled the launch of a comprehensive youth development program, supported by an 18-month grant from the Howard County Government, dedicated to career and college readiness programs for young adults in the community.

The fundraiser connects with current global and local events, emphasizing the urgent need for support and solidarity with Muslim communities in Gaza. The evolving discussions around LGBTQ promotion in schools also stress the importance of active engagement and understanding among our youth. As we seek unity in the Muslim community, our focus remains on the pivotal role young adults play in shaping a more inclusive and harmonious future.
