WEROCK expands the range of accessories for the Rockscan W100 backhand scanner

KARLSRUHE, Germany - Sept. 2, 2024 - PRLog -- WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative provider of industrial IT solutions, announces the expansion of the Rockscan W100 barcode scanner accessory portfolio with a closed all-purpose glove. The new solution enables hands-free scanning of barcodes and extends the possible application scenarios of the back-of-hand scanner.

The aim is to offer customers in logistics, industry and manufacturing even more variety and a wider range of advanced solutions for data capture and processing. The WEROCK range for hands-free scanning already includes the ring scanner base, which turns the Rockscan W100 into a finger scanner, as well as fingerless gloves and a lanyard. According to the manufacturer, the finger solution is suitable for occasional, all-day scanning. Those who scan a lot during the day should prefer the combination of scanner and glove.

The new all-purpose glove is more suitable for unclean environments, as it completely encloses the hand and also has extra padding under the palms. The barcode scanner is activated on both versions via a push button between the index finger and thumb. The wearable accessories and the battery of the barcode scanner can be easily changed by the end user without tools, so that all-day use, changing application scenarios and multi-shift operation are possible.

The scanner itself has a powerful scan engine that captures all common 1D and 2D barcodes. It is protected against water and dust in accordance with IP65 and can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 meters. Depending on the version, the Rockscan W100 has a scanning range of up to 14 meters. Communication with the host takes place via Bluetooth and NFC. According to the manufacturer, over 5,000 scans are possible per battery charge, and the scanner also promises a quick battery change.
