Clearwater's celebration of Optimist Day Highlights Volunteerism

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Jan. 16, 2025 - PRLog -- The Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay invites the community to the Way to Happiness center on North Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater to celebrate National Optimist Day 2025 on Thursday, February 6^th. The open house will take place from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.

"National Optimist Day was originally created by the Optimist International service club in 1909 to promote kindness and spread optimism," said George Yehorov, the Executive Director of the Association. "It is a day to encourage people to contribute to their communities and to acknowledge those who are making a difference in the world. At The Way to Happiness Association, we believe in the importance of spreading kindness and helping others and support the spirit of Optimism Day."

The Way to Happiness is a non-religious moral code based on common sense.

The precepts include points such as "Love and help children," "Safeguard and improve your environment" and "Set a good example."

"Taking any one of these precepts and working out a project on how you can implement it in your community can raise the spirits of those around you, as well as your own," said Yehorov.  "We are here to help and look forward to having the community celebrate with us on Thursday, February 6^th."

The center, located at 33 North Fort Harrison Avenue is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 7:00pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.
