Patient Advocacy: Pulse CPSEA Offers Training Opportunity for a Growing Profession

WANTAGH, N.Y. - Feb. 21, 2025 - PRLog -- Medical error takes a thousand forms, and it's no news that health care carries risks both large and small. Every hospital patient or care home resident needs a well person to support and protect them.

There are many ways to protect and safeguard patients' well-being, and that's why there are now thousands of professional patient advocates in the United States. Many started because of a personal experience of harm to themselves or someone they knew. It is a fast-growing sector but requires learning a set of skills and habits.

Now, Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy offers a unique opportunity to get started: its Family-Centered Patient Advocacy Training (https://pulsecenterforpatientsafety.org/), (https://pulsecenterforpatientsafety.org/fcpa) which will take place over two days in March, 2025 in Plainview, NY.

This is a rare opportunity for aspiring professional patient advocates (as well as family caregivers) to get practical, interactive training in techniques that reduce the risk of harm from medical treatment.

Are you already a Board-Certified Patient Advocate? Attend the training and earn up to 18 CE credits towards maintaining your accreditation.
