SCS Engineers Awarded Worldwide Contract From Levi Strauss & Co.

SCS Engineers to provide greenhouse gas consulting services
 
Aug. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Long Beach, CA—SCS Engineers (SCS) has been awarded a contract by Levi Strauss & Co. to provide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions report verification services for the corporation's worldwide GHG emissions.

SCS will evaluate the 2008 GHG Emissions Inventory prepared by Levi Straus & Co. through data review and on-site inspections of a select number of Levi Strauss & Co. facilities located throughout North America and the around the world, as well as analyze the company’s completed reports and associated inputs, calculations and on-site verification activities.

Levi Strauss & Co. is a participant in The Climate Registry (TCR), a nonprofit organization that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry.

SCS Engineers is a TCR-approved verifier and participant in the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Pilot Program for GHG Validation and Verification (V/V) Program accreditation.

Raymond Huff, SCS Vice President and TCR-accredited Lead Verifier, will act as the Lead Verifier/Project Manager for this project.
