British-American Business Council Celebrates Upcoming International Business Awards

July 14, 2010 - PRLog -- The British-American Business Council Houston (BABC-Houston) held a reception on Tuesday night, July 13th, hosted by the beautiful, Tuscany-inspired Granduca Hotel to celebrate the Council’s upcoming Inaugural International Business Awards.  Over 100 BABC members and guests attended.

The awards will honor BABC Houston member companies and individuals who have made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership to further trade, commerce, civic, philanthropic, and/or cultural relations between the United Kingdom and the United States.  The finalists will be introduced and the winners announced at a luncheon at the Hilton Houston Post on October 21.

Special guests for the evening included Emma Briggs, UK Trade and Investment Regional Director; Peter Brown, Chairman of The Mayor’s International Trade and Development Council; Cody Sutton, Sr. Vice President, International Business for the Greater Houston Partnership; and Ramon Lozano, Assistant Director at the Pearland Economic Development Corporation.
