UK Ambassador to the US to Speak at British-American Business Council Luncheon

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Sir Nigel Sheinwald, KCMG, the United Kingdom's Ambassador to the United States will be the featured speaker at a luncheon hosted by the British-American Business Council Houston and Turner and Townsend on October 14, at The Grove.  

The United Kingdom recently elected its first coalition government since the time of Winston Churchill. It has set financial priorities of fiscal deficit reduction, economic recovery from the recession and expanding the current $3B in trade and investment between the UK and Texas.

In addition, the Ambassador will discuss the importance of energy security and diversity to our economic growth, keeping trade free and open, and the need to push back against protectionist notions.
