Ware Malcomb Completes Renovation for South Coast Collections

Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Leading design firm, Ware Malcomb (www.waremalcomb.com) is proud to announce the completion of the South Coast Collection (www.southcoastcollection.com) retail center renovation, developed by Burnham Ward Properties (www.burnhamusa.com) of Newport Beach, California. South Coast Collection, branded as SoCo, offers the latest in a wide variety of trendsetting home furnishings and accessories, as well as many other specialty stores. The recently remodeled center is located at 3303-3323 Hyland Avenue near the San Diego (I-405) Freeway in Costa Mesa, California.

Ware Malcomb provided architectural design services for the renovation of this 300,000 square foot retail center consisting of eight (8) retail showroom buildings, creative studios, general retail and food service.  The individual buildings range in size from 14,500 to 78,800 square feet. The retail center boasts a contemporary look, including transparent glass, redwood accents, sustainable landscaping and a central plaza built around a fire pit. Freeway signage and a LED screen were added to make the center more visible and easier to find. The transformation from traditional architectural style to a modern, progressive expression has been instrumental in defining a new style of retail experience in Orange County, as well as attracting and retaining quality retail tenants to this revitalized development.
